Volksmarch

This morning I joined new friends, Lacey, Barry, & Natalie for the annual Crazy Horse Volksmarch. This is a 6.2 mile organized hike that happens once a year. It is the only time during the year that you can go up on top of the arm (well what will eventually be the arm) of the Crazy Horse Monument and look at it up close. The hike was pretty easy for most of the way but the last bit was steep and steady...kinda reminded me of Pilot Butte, but steeper for sure. But it was totally worth it when I got to the top. It was pretty cool.

The weather has been pretty nice here the past few days which is so nice after the rain last week. I'm starting to get a little more settled in at home and once I paint then I'll be able to get the rest unpacked and stuff up on the walls and that will be awesome. I worked all week and It was really good to get going in that area as well. Sr. High Youth group begins Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to that!

This past Monday I was able to attend my Bible study back home via Skype. It was SO SO awesome to see my friends and "be there." It makes it a little easier to be so far away. I'm looking forward to seeing them every Monday. I think that's all I have to report for now. Life in SD is going great. :)
